About Hayes Valley
Hayes Valley has emerged as one of San Francisco's most stylish and sought-after neighborhoods. Once bisected by a freeway, the area was transformed after the 1989 earthquake led to the freeway's demolition. Today, Hayes Street is a destination for boutique shopping, with independent fashion designers, home goods stores, and galleries. The restaurant scene is outstanding, featuring some of the city's most acclaimed dining. Patricia's Green, a small park in the heart of the neighborhood, hosts rotating art installations and community events. The proximity to the Civic Center, Davies Symphony Hall, and the War Memorial Opera House makes it a cultural hub.
